Girish Ganesan Named One of Canada's 2019 Top 40 Under 40

Girish Ganesan, Head of Talent at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, has been named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40®for 2019.

Ganesan was selected from a pool of more than 950 nominees by an independent Advisory Board, comprising 25 business leaders from across Canada. Honorees were chosen on four key criteria: Vision & Innovation; Leadership; Impact & Influence; and, Social Responsibility.

"I am deeply honored and humbled by this recognition," said Ganesan. "When I immigrated to Canada 19 years ago, I never imagined I'd join such distinguished ranks as my fellow honorees. I am proud to represent TD and share this recognition with all those I've learned from, and all who have advocated for me throughout my career."

Ganesan joined TD in 2016 as Vice President of HR Solutions and Enablement for TD Bank Group. During his tenure, he has led transformational initiatives to improve the experience of more than 85,000 employees, globally. As the Head of Talent, he leads a team that is responsible for talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, organizational design, employee experience, and diversity and inclusion at TD.

Ganesan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delhi and completed post-graduate education in HR Management at Humber College. He also holds the Certified HR Leader (CHRL) designation. He is a known leader among diverse communities, mentoring newcomers, internationally trained professionals, and LGBTQ2+ community members. Ganesan was named HR Professional of the Year by HR Magazine Singapore, and Top Future Leader by HR.com.

Canada's Top 40 Under 40 recipients will be honored at the Top 40 Awards Night Gala on November 6, 2019 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
