Anita O'Dell is Chief Auditor, TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank® and is a member of the Bank's Management Committee. 

With close to 30 years of Internal Audit experience with financial institutions, Anita has a deep understanding of the industry and the audit function, having progressed through various audit leadership roles internally and externally. Anita leads the charge in ensuring we have the right audit methodologies and people strategies in place to enable TD for future growth and success. As an example, Anita's leadership was instrumental in our successful inaugural Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) filing in 2016.

Anita began her illustrious audit career as an entry-level internal auditor for First Federal of Anderson. In 1992, she joined The South Financial Group where she progressed through a variety of leadership roles including Director of Enterprise Risk Management and EVP, General Auditor.

Anita joined TD in 2010 with the acquisition of The South Financial Group, and has made a tremendous impact on the entire Audit function. Before being appointed Chief Auditor, Anita served as Deputy Chief Auditor, Head of Enterprise Audit Strategy and Operations, and Audit Director, Professional Practices. 

Anita oversaw several critical initiatives relating to employee engagement and diversity, including serving as the Chair for Corporate Women in Leadership in the U.S. and co-chair in Canada. Anita also participated in "Build for the Future" programs. She is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Information Systems and Control Association (ISACA). She is also a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

On a personal note, Anita resides in South Carolina with her husband and two children and enjoys spending her weekends at the beautiful lakes of South Carolina. Anita received her B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University and her MBA from the University of South Carolina.
